This is an alternative assignment for those of you unavoidably unable to perform your assigned class notes blogpost duties, whether because there weren’t enough slots when you went to sign up, or because we had to cancel class on your assigned date.

Please attend your choice of the listed events, and write up your experience.  These posts should be 4-5 paragraphs long.  In addition to presenting a short summary of the information presented (in 2-3 paragraphs), you should conclude with a 2 paragraph analysis of the links you see to wider course themes.  Here is one example of a student’s event writeup analyzing Brazilian poet Salgado Maranhão’s campus visit.

I will evaluate these following the same criteria employed for other blog posts.
